We’re getting to that time of year again when temperatures are dropping, and rain from the sky turns to snow on the ground. This is when we all have to stop and look not just at the way we drive, but the condition our cars are in. Winter makes a lot of demands on both drivers and automobiles. Are you and your car ready for it? Get ready for winter with a few of these tips.
Check Your Anti-Freeze
You just never know when it comes to the winters in Idaho, which is why making sure you have the right anti-freeze mixture is important. A good mix is 50% water and 50% anti-freeze. Anything less and your engine might not be there for you when you really need it.
Check Your Tires
This tip should be no surprise. Your tires aren’t indestructible, time and use will wear them down. What condition are yours in? Winter is when you rely on your tires the most, so you should inspect not just the tire pressure, but the wear on the tires themselves. Check for areas where wear is prominent, conduct and look at your tread wear bars to see their progress.
